Brigitte is a filmmaker, performer and lifelong human. She is a graduate of Metro Screen, the Design Centre Enmore and has worked on many short films as a designer and a writer/director. Brigitte has worked behind the scenes in network television, and continues her screen career in TVC production. She developed I Know You Are while training in long form improvisation and performs with multiple troupes out of Laugh Masters Academy, Sydney. She has appeared in a number of musical stage productions including HAIR, Calamity Jane, Cabaret and The Producers.
Jeff crafted his comedy chops in improvisation and sketch at The Second City, Improv Australia and Laugh Masters Academy, Sydney. He has also trained in improv workshops with the legendary Joe Bill and the talented Lyndsay Hailey. He studied the Stanislavsky method and Michael Chekhov acting technique with Natela Dzuliashvili at the Acting World school in Sydney. Jeff has performed in a number of plays and musicals including Trying to Find Chinatown, Macbeth, Henry V, Othello, Pippin, Damn Yankees and Man of La Mancha. He is a passionate educator and technology futurist.
Josephine is a writer and actor from western Sydney. She has previously appeared in a bunch of productions for The Theatre On Chester, Liverpool Performing Arts Ensemble, Campbelltown Theatre Group and she is a graduate of Improv Theatre Sydney. Her writing has been published in The Guardian, Junkee, AWOL and The Cusp. This is her first web series.
Laura began her career surfing professionally for giant surf company Billabong. She progressed into modelling, fronted campaigns for Bonds, David Jones and Sunsilk, and has featured in many TV commercials. She has also been a spokesperson and brand ambassador for The Cervical Cancer i-did campaign, Earth Hour and Life Education Australia. She has presented on Channel 9’s Getaway and Miss Adventure TV, and donates her time to causes like children’s charity Variety, and environment initiatives for WWF. In 2013, Laura wrote and released an inspirational learn to surf book, The Ride of Life, and went on a high school speaking tour encouraging youth, especially girls, to stand up for themselves both in and out of the water. Laura continues to create social media content for brands like Mimco, Westfield and Quiksilver.
Sophie is a writer, performer, director and improviser. She is a graduate of The Second City, and iO Chicago where she performed solo and musical sketch on SATURDAY/Saturday. She trained with The Annoyance, UCB, The Neo-Futurists, was a regular on the stand up scene and a core member of The Improvised Jane Austen. She also appeared at The Chicago Improv Festival with reBound: A Dramatic Improv Show. Sophie is co-founder and a regular performer at Sydney storytelling night Fabulous Monster and writes award-winning short stories. She is a contributing writer for projects like web series A Shared House, and Hayley Dinnison's Eat Through This, which Sophie directed and performed in at The Sydney Fringe Festival. She performed her solo show The Wendigo at the Sydney Fringe Comedy Festival in 2016.
Nishita is an Indian comedy writer and performer based in Sydney. Apart from writing with her sketch troupe Define Happy and obsessing about feminism, Nish performs long form improv with the Laugh Masters Academy house team in Sydney. She has studied comedy-related stuff with The Second City, Improv Theatre Sydney and Laugh Masters, but most importantly, from the jokes life has played on her.
Nick is a graduate of the NIDA Young Actors Studio. In recent years, he has been focused on recording and producing his solo music project, releasing three singles, California, Under the Light and Sunsets, which have been added to both Australian and international radio. I Know You Are marks a return to acting for Nick, who last performed on stage in the Stagetek production of Spring Awakening.
Sheree is an actor, singer and dancer with experience in film, TV and theatre. She is passionate about her craft, relishing every opportunity to grow as an artist. Sheree is a keen surfer, skier and horse rider, and she is co-author of the inspirational book Taking the Drop, published in 2011. In 2016, Sheree appeared in Dance Academy: The Movie, The House of Bond, web series The Witness Articles, several short films, most recently wrapping on web series I Know You Are. She also appeared in and choreographed two sequences for The High Road with Richard Roxburgh and Toni Collette. As a dancer, she is known as Sheree da Costa, and in 2002 was nominated for a Helpmann Award and an Australian Dance Award for playing the Cyd Charisse role in Singin’ In The Rain.
